This technology will enable industries to enhance waste heat recovery and energy efficiency, reduce the temperature of exhaust gases and steam, and minimize the use of fossil fuels, thereby reducing their carbon footprint.
VAST-HP technology is a zero-emission waste heat recovery system designed to capture and repurpose low-grade waste heat. It can be integrated into various industrial processes, converting wasted thermal energy into usable heat or electricity. By enabling industries to generate on-site electricity, which can either support their operations or be exported to the grid, this technology supports both industrial and grid decarbonization. With a broad operating temperature range, it has the potential to reduce exhaust gas temperatures to ambient levels, maximizing heat recovery and utilization.
Once developed, our waste heat recovery technology can benefit various industrial sectors with process heating, such as petroleum refineries, natural gas processing plants, food processing, chemical manufacturing, pulp & paper, textiles, cement manufacturing, and other industries. The power generation industry, including the renewable energy sector like Concentrated Solar Power, is another market niche for our technology. VAST-HP enables industries to repurpose otherwise wasted heat into on-site electricity, achieving substantial energy savings, reducing heat emissions without incurring additional operating costs, and, in certain applications like steam turbine plants, increasing overall efficiency by up to 50%.
